A Coldwater Warm Hearts Wedding by Lexi Eddings

A Coldwater WEddingA Coldwater Warm Hearts Wedding by Lexi Eddings is perfect book to read on a rainy day or when you are feeling a little blue. I really enjoyed reading this book and felt it left me with an overall warm heart because even though this book has its ups and downs it leaves you with a feeling of hope. Eddings does a superb job writing a story that you can see yourself there in the middle of all the twists and turns this story takes. The plot line and setting is one that a lot of people have been through or you know someone who has been though. I can close my eyes and see exactly what Eddings seen when she wrote this book. The Amarant by Tricia Barr

the amarantI really enjoyed reading The Amarant by Tricia Barr. I found this young adult novel different than the other vampire based novels. The way the characters are introduced and described by Tricia Barr is simply amazing. The story is about a teenage girl named Crimson Wilkinson who is in love with a collection of vampire books she has read. Crimson is more in love with the main character Nicholae Albaric. She decides to type his name in the search engine of a people finder program after she falls bored while searching for her father. What she does not expect to find is a match, Nicholae Albaric is real. This starts many twists and turns with the story. I found my self really interested in this fictional vampire. All the clues made you really wonder how this love story will end. I was very surprised with the ending and I loved it! I really find that Barr took a popular young adult book theme and made it her own. I found this a really good read. ***I received this book free in exchange for my honest and unbiased review.***

Crimson Wilkinson is a teenage girl who, having survived a dark childhood, finds her escape in reading a popular vampire series. After some investigation, she becomes a very active part in the very true vampire stories the world thought were fiction and falls in love with their author, Nicholae Albaric, the sweetly lonely vampire celebrity. But her happiness is short-lived as she discovers she has a rare gene that makes the carrier extremely powerful if turned into a vampire, and she is targeted as the vampire community’s number-one most-wanted, some who want to kill her before she becomes a threat, and others who want to use her powers to their own ends.

Some Small Magic: A Novel by Billy Coffey

2017-03-14-20-37-47The book Some Small Magic: A Novel by Billy Coffey was an amazing find. Billy Coffey manages to create characters that you can relate to or you know someone who favors one of the characters in his book. I feel this Christian fiction novel is full of twists and turns that allow you to get completely involved in the story leaving you wanting to know what happens on the next page or next chapter. It is one of those stories that shows life and death, the way people handle loss of a loved one. **I received this book from Book Look Bloggers for free in exchange for my honest and unbiased review.**

Runes by Ednah Walters

runesWhen I saw the cover for the book Runes by Ednah Walters  I really liked the look of the cover and became curious about the story. I have to admit that this was a very quick read taking only about 2 1/2 to 3 hours tops! To me I felt like it reminded me a lot of The Mortal Instrument Series. There are runes which are a lot like the ones from The Mortal Instrument Series and a love triangle. Another friend that is in love with their best friend who in return is in love with some else kind of story. While I felt the characters development as a whole was well thought out, I just could not get past the similarities and the fact that it is a shorter story (a fast read).  I just was really not impressed with this book.  **I received this book free in exchange for my honest and unbiased review.**

By Your Side by Kasie West

I really love a good book! You know the one that keeps you up all night because you can’t put it down. The type of book where you fall in love with the characters and have to know what happens next. Well that is exactly the type of book that By Your Side by Kasie West  was for me. I admit that I was drawn in by the cover. Kasie West books always have cute covers. I really like how you can judge a book by its cover with this author and she never disappoints me! By Your Side  is about two people who get stuck in the library all weekend. I mean how awesome would that be! Autumn has anxiety and I appreciated how well she was written and the message that came across with it. Autumn was still a strong character, but it also showed how she dealt with it (or in some cases didn’t deal with it). Anxiety is a real and scary disorder that many people have to deal with on a daily basis. This disorder can control your live in many ways. Then there is Dax who was smooth and easy despite his upbringing. He had a lot going on even though he wasn’t given a lot to start with. A true opposites attracts!  This is a great read for anyone who loves a good love story.

The Travelers: A Novel by Chris Pavone

the travelersThe Travelers: A Novel by Chris Pavone  is the third book in this series. This book has so many twists and turns that you are likely to be shocked again and again. The main reason of the story gradually floats to the surface. Which will be a complete shocker to what you thought was going to happen. This book, like a lot of Chris Pavone’s other books centers around espionage.  While the book is a true page turner it does change rapidly from New York City to Mendoza, Argentina, Falls Church, Virginia, Paris, Capri, Istanbul, and other amazing places around the world.  I found that the suspense was very intoxicating.  A good stay up all night suspenseful read!

Super Genes by Deepak Chopra M.D. and Rudolph E. Tanzi PH.D. Book Review

20170303_205933_001 5.jpg

The book Super Genes by New York Times Bestselling Authors Deepak Chopra and Dr. Rudolph Tanzi explores epigenetics, conscious behavior of the environment and how these interact to affect your health and well-being. After reading this book, I felt there is a lot of loose ends. Some were tied with logical facts that help you to understand how you are a part of something that is much more ancient that most scientists give credit to. I feel this book does a lot of repeating throughout the chapters. It does explain how what you eat and how you deal with stress effects your overall health. Also, it takes into account your DNA and how your parents and other relatives plays a big part of your health. Long before you are born your DNA will determine your future health risks and problems. I feel this book is a good read even though it is repetitive.  I do like how this book and the authors explain different cases. They tell you about real people and how that person’s life was changed, sometimes for the better. Also, they go in depth about case studies and experiments, I received this book from Blogging for Books in exchange for by honest and unbiased review. I do not think this is a book that I would have purchased on my own. I feel that receiving the book free is why I read this book. I do like reading books about health and ways to improve your health, However, I just was not that impressed with this book.
