Unnoticed by Amanda Deed

unnoticedUnnoticed by Amanda Deed is a completely different take on the classic Cinderella story. This story is based in Australia and makes the story take on a different charm. I really like how Deed creates a unique plot line, settings, and character list that takes this Cinderella type story to the next level. We all have read that classic story and know how she always get her prince. However, this story is based in the Aussie outback with wildlife and interesting characters that help make this a really great love story. The prince does not have a castle and a royal court, instead he is the town dentist and barber.  Little does the town know that the family he left in America owns a major railroad empire. If you love a happy ending, this is the book for you. **I received this book free in exchange for my honest and unbiased review. ** If you want to read this love story, you can get your copy HERE.

(from amazon.com) Plain Jane O’Reilly is good at being unnoticed. Detested by her stepmother and teased by her stepsisters, Jane has learned the art of avoiding attention. That is until Price Moreland, an American with big dreams, arrives in her small town.
Does she dare to hope someone might notice her? However, Price Moreland may not be the prince that the whole town thinks him to be. Was his desire to be a missionary a God-given call, or just a good excuse to run from his past? Complete with an evil stepmother, a missing shoe and a grand ball, Unnoticed takes the time-old Cinderella fairy tale and gives it an Australian twist.

Under The Lights (Field Party Series) by Abbi Glines

under the lightsUnder The Lights by Abbi Glines is the second book in The Field Party Series. I read Until Friday Night awhile ago and when I saw this book I knew I had to read it as well. I must say I am a huge fan of Abbi Glines and love all of her books. So, it did not surprise me that I love this one just as much. This book picks up from where the other one left off but from two different characters and a new plot line for them. It all starts when Willa Ames moves back to town and in with her Nonna. Ms. Ames is the housekeeper for Gunner’s family and has been his whole life. That is where Gunner and Brady meet Willa for the first time. They where a lot younger then. Willa was in Gunner’s treehouse playing with his army men when they caught her. After that day the three of them where always together. That is until Willa’s mom sent for her and she moved away. Now, six years later she is back. Both Gunner and Brady are well aware of the fact that she has changed and not sure what as happened to make her come back. This reunion starts another case of them both fighting for her attention. This book struggles with adult issues that most teenagers don’t often have to face. Glines does an amazing job with the plot line and characters in this book. I will not spoil the ending even though it was a big surprise for me. You will have to read it yourself to find out. Get your copy HERE.

(from amazon.com) In the follow-up to Abbi Glines’s #1 New York Times bestseller Until Friday Night—which bestselling author Kami Garcia called “tender, honest, and achingly real”—three teens from a small southern town are stuck in a dramatic love triangle. Willa can’t erase the bad decisions of her past that led her down the path she’s on now. But she can fight for forgiveness from her family. And she can protect herself by refusing to let anyone else get close to her. High school quarterback and town golden boy Brady used to be the best of friends with Willa—she even had a crush on him when they were kids. But that’s all changed now: her life choices have made her a different person from the girl he used to know. Gunner used to be friends with Willa and Brady, too. He too is larger than life and a high school football star—not to mention that his family basically owns the town of Lawton. He loves his life, and doesn’t care about anyone except himself. But Willa is the exception—and he understands the girl she’s become in a way no one else can. As secrets come to light and hearts are broken, these former childhood friends must face the truth about growing up and falling in love…even if it means losing each other forever.

Always and Forever by Siân O’Gorman

always and foreverAlways and Forever by Siân O’Gorman is a story of love, family and life. O’Gorman’s plot line for this novel is superb. He created an outstanding list of characters with an amazing setting. This novel talks about the true life struggles that many married couples face. Not to mention the fact that most couples separate and never return to their pre-marriage self. Some marriages are just meant to be. I really enjoyed this novel and felt it was a great read that would relate to a lot of people. ** I received an Advance Reader Copy of this book in exchange for my honest and unbiased review.** You can purchase your copy HERE.

The Last Thing You Said by Sara Biren

the last thing you saidWhen I got the chance to read The Last Thing You Said by Sara Biren I was so excited! I have heard nothing but wonderful things about this book and author. I will admit that this is a tear jerker but there are laughs along the way. The story follows Lucy (Lulu) whose best friend (Trixie) dies without warning. This leaves Lucy and Trixie’s brother Ben in shock and having a hard time excepting the fact that she is gone. The story takes places in a Minnesota resort town where Ben’s family owns a resort where they both work during their summers. It has been almost a year after the accident and they still are not talking. Lucy makes a friend with Hannah, a new girl at their school. While Ben spirals out of control drinking and going from girl to girl. However this summer takes a different turn from last summer. They find that they can’t stop thinking and worrying about each other bring them together at the end. While I could not put this book down, I found that it is really an emotional read with a happy ending, Biren  does an amazing job a creating a story that really pulls at your heart strings. ** I received an Advance Reader Copy of this book in exchange for my honest and unbiased review.**  You can get your copy HERE.

(from amazon.com) Last summer, Lucy’s and Ben’s lives changed in an instant. One moment, they were shyly flirting on a lake raft, finally about to admit their feelings to each other after years of yearning. In the next, Trixie—Lucy’s best friend and Ben’s sister—was gone, her heart giving out during a routine swim. And just like that, the idyllic world they knew turned upside down, and the would-be couple drifted apart, swallowed up by their grief. Now it’s a year later in their small lake town, and as the anniversary of Trixie’s death looms, Lucy and Ben’s undeniable connection pulls them back together. They can’t change what happened the day they lost Trixie, but the summer might finally bring them closer to healing—and to each other.

American Assassin by Vince Flynn

I read American Assassin by Vince Flynn several months ago and loved it! I decided to reread this book after learning they made it into a movie that is set to premiere in September 2017 starring Dylan O’Brien as Mitch Rapp and Michael Keaton as Stan Hurley.  Vince Flynn has done an outstanding job creating the character Mitch Rapp making him someone you can relate to. Everyone at some point in their life as lost a loved one.  Rapp is recruited by an elite CIA group and decides to join as a way to get revenge for the loss of his longtime girlfriend that was killed during a terrorist attack. He is then sent to a training camp where he meets Stan Hurley for the first time. There is a lot of friction between Rapp and Hurley that is explained why throughout the book. This book is very action packed as it follows Rapp who is sometimes out of control while Hurley tries to rein him in and teach him the rules or sometimes lack thereof.  American Assassin is a number one New York Times Bestseller. I can’s wait to see the movie! If you want a really good read, you can get your copy HERE.

(from amazon.com) #1 New York Times bestselling author Vince Flynn introduces the young Mitch Rapp on his first assignment, a mission of vengeance that made him a CIA super agent. Among the thousands grieving the victims is Mitch Rapp, a gifted college athlete, who wants only one thing: retribution.
