Bestselling author Katie McGarry’s trademark wrong-side-of-the-tracks romance is given a new twist in the gritty YA contemporary novel, Only a Breath Apart.

The first book I read in Katie McGarry’s A Thunder Road Series was Nowhere But Here. I fell in love with not only the series but also the writing style of Katie McGarry. I knew when Long Way Home was released that I had to read it. Let me tell you this is the best book in the series so far! I love the connection that Chevy and Violet have and the way that they deal with their relationship and the world outside of the Reign of Terror Motorcycle Club. This is the kind of book that is hard to put down. I stayed up all night and read from start to finish in one night. I cannot wait to read other books written by Katie McGarry. You can get your copy here.

From  Amazon.com:  Seventeen-year-old Violet has always been expected to sit back and let the boys do all the saving It’s the code her father, a member of the Reign of Terror motorcycle club, raised her to live by. Yet when her dad is killed carrying out Terror business, Violet knows it’s up to her to do the saving. To protect herself, and her vulnerable younger brother, she needs to cut all ties with the club—including Chevy, the boy she’s known and loved her whole life. But when a rival club comes after Violet, exposing old secrets and making new threats, she’s forced to question what she thought she knew about her father, the Reign of Terror and what she thinks she wants. Which means reevaluating everything: love, family, friends…and forgiveness. Caught in the crosshairs between loyalty and freedom, Violet must decide whether old friends can be trusted—and if she’s strong enough to be the one person to save them all.

This book was recommended for me on amazon.com. I read a few reviews and thought why not. I have read several of her books and loved them. After reading the first page, I was hooked and could not put it down. I just had to know what happened next. The two main characters are so different, but so meant to be. This is a wonderful story about love and all the ups and downs that high school students and family go through.
