The Nanny Arrangement by Rachel Harris is the second book in Country Blues Series and is scheduled to be release on May 22, 2017 by Entangled Publishing, LLC. I really enjoyed this women’s fiction romance novel. I found that I got lost in the story very easy. The writing style Rachel Harris as gives you such a clear picture and you feel like you are there. The story starts with Hannah and her best friend Deacon as childhood friends. While this is the only chapter and backstory for them, I feel the story could have evolved more if there was more detail of their childhood together. The author likes to set up the stage for you with character build-up and narrative writing. Hannah is the nanny for Deacon’s son while he is on tour with his band. The book takes you chapter by chapter through their love story and includes Deacon’s son Max. Overall, I found this book a very sweet romantic read that I highly recommend. **I received a complimentary Advanced Readers Copy of this book in exchange foe my honest and unbiased review.**

Caught Looking by Jody Holford will be released on April 25, 2017 by Penner Media Group, LLC. I really loved reading this book and enjoyed it so much! The first character you meet in this story is Frankie. Her aunt past away and left her house to Frankie who decides to return to the house for a fresh start. Upon returning, she soon discovers that three young boys are living in the house. They were staying with her aunt before she died. This is a shock to Frankie who is not sure how to proceed. Frankie also meets her new neighbor, Ryan. His house is right next door to Frankie’s and it is beautifully redone. While Frankie’s is completely rundown and needs a complete redo. Will this newfound family lead to love and a happy ending or will their pasts destroy them. Holford creates a story that is so heartbreaking at times but uplifting at others. The characters are well thought out and have backstories that help with dynamics of the overall story. I really like Jody Holford’s writing style and look forward to more from this author. I highly recommend this book. ** I received a complimentary Advanced Readers Copy in exchange for my honest and unbiased review.**
Beauty and the Book Boyfriend by KM Galvin was released on March 28, 2017. I heard a lot about this book leading up to the release, both positive and negative. Hearing all about this book made me wonder and I had to find out for myself. The story is about Bell who is an author that is very self conscious and avoids the publicity all while not having any friends. She goes on book tour as the main character in her book along with the book boyfriend that her fans voted for. I found this book to be an ok read. I felt that the points of view kept changing so much that I could not keep up at times. The characters could use more back story to add more depth. While I understand that some readers really liked this book, I have to say I am not one of them. I am willing to read more works from this author. **I received a complimentary copy of this book in exchange for my honest and unbiased review.**

Black Lotus & Blood Orchid by Claire Warner are books one and two in the Night Flower Series. While I love a good vampire story, I feel like this one is a been there done that kind of story. The copies I received felt more like a proof copy that still needed a final edit because there is a lot of writing errors. I felt that the author set the books up so that you have to read the next book in order to continue the story. There really is not an ending to each book. The plot was mediocre at best (been there done that). The characters and their development was ok. The dialogue between character sometimes fell flat or seemed awkward. If some of the conversations were reworded it may have been better and evoke a more emotional response from the reader. The pace of the novel changes from page to page making it hard to keep up. I feel like this was an ok read but will need editing before I would pay for the next book.
Genre: Historical Fiction/Paranormal Romance
Still Waiting: Hope for When God Doesn’t Give You What You Want by Ann Swindell was released on April 4,2017 by Tyndale House Publishers, Inc. Swindell writes about her condition, Trichotillomania. She shares her heart with you and the struggles that come with the disease and waiting to be healed. There are many stages in the healing process and she discuses this with her relationship with God to help her through. This book is for anyone who as ever waited on God to help them through any situation. I felt this book was an amazing read. I really felt the connection she shares and how she inspires you to Christ. I highly recommend this book. **Tyndale House Publishers provided me with a complimentary copy of this book in exchange for my honest and unbiased review.**
SYNOPSIS: What if God wants you to wait? Most of us don’t willingly choose to wait. We pick the shortest lines at the grocery store and avoid construction routes whenever possible. These are relatively short holdups, but they point to the deeper truth of what we try to evade on the larger scale of our lives: the anguish and heartache we experience during extended times of waiting when something we have hoped for gets delayed. Because waiting is painful and hard, too often we try to rush through it, seeking to jump ahead to the hoped-for resolution, opportunity, or healing. It’s easy to overlook that waiting is an inevitable part of our walk with God.

About Vibrant India
From the acclaimed chef and owner of Brooklyn Delhi, a debut cookbook focused on the celebrated vegetarian fare of South India. Lifelong vegetarian and chef Chitra Agrawal takes you on an epicurean journey to her mother’s hometown of Bangalore and back to Brooklyn, where she adapts her family’s South Indian recipes for home cooks. This particular style of Indian home cooking, often called the “yoga diet,” is light and fresh, yet satisfying and rich in bold and complex flavors. Grains, legumes, fresh produce, coconut, and yogurt—along with herbs, citrus, chiles, and spices—form the cornerstone of this delectable cuisine, rooted in vegetarian customs and honed over centuries for optimum taste and nutrition. From the classic savory crepe dosa, filled with lemony turmeric potatoes and cilantro coconut chutney, to new creations like coconut polenta topped with spring vegetables ‘upma” and homemade yogurt, the recipes in Vibrant India are simple to prepare and a true celebration of color and flavor on a plate. Chitra weaves together the historical context behind the region’s cuisine and how she brought some of these age-old traditions to life thousands of miles away in Brooklyn during the city’s exciting food renaissance. Relying on her experience as a culinary instructor, Chitra introduces the essential Indian cooking techniques, tips, and ingredients you’ll need to prepare a full range of recipes from quick vegetable stir frys (corn, basil, and leeks flavored with butter, cumin, and black pepper), salads (citrus red cabbage and fennel slaw with black mustard seeds, curry leaves, and chile), yogurt raitas (shredded beets and coconut in yogurt), and chutneys and pickles (preserved Meyer lemon in chile brine) to hearty stews (aromatic black eyed peas, lentils, and greens), coconut curries (summer squash in an herby coconut yogurt sauce), and fragrant rice dishes (lime dill rice with pistachios). Rounding out the book is an array of addictive snacks (popcorn topped with curry leaf butter), creative desserts (banana, coconut, and cardamom ice cream), and refreshing drinks (chile watermelon juice with mint). Chitra provides numerous substitutions to accommodate produce seasonality, ingredient availability, and personal tastes. The majority of recipes are gluten-free and vegan or can be easily modified to adhere to those dietary restrictions. Whether you are a vegetarian or just looking for ways to incorporate more vegetarian recipes into your repertoire, Vibrant India is a practical guide for bringing delicious Indian home cooking to your table on a regular basis.

For the Love of Kate by Erica Lucke Dean is the second book in the Katie Chronicles Series and was released by Red Adept Publishing, LLC on April 18, 2017. First, I want to say that I love this book more than the first. Erica Lucke Dean does an amazing job in creating a story with an outstanding setting that makes it feel like you are really there and the characters are written so brilliantly that they feel like you know them, like they are your friends. This book is such a fun read and made me laugh a lot. Katie is type of person who is prone to accidents or disaster and that makes the story more interesting. I also love the fact that she is married to Cooper, the famous author that she feel in love with. This is the perfect spring time read that will leave you with a warm heart and stars in your eyes. **I received a complimentary copy of this book in exchange for my honest and unbiased review.** Check it out and grab you copy HERE.
