Falling for the Hometown Girl: Marshall Ranch, Book 2 by Shelli Stevens

cover112527-mediumFalling for the Hometown Girl by Shelli Stevens is the second book in the Marshall Ranch Series and will be released on May 2, 2017 by Tule Publishing as  an adult fiction, romance novel. I really loved reading this book! Stevens writes about Katie Marshall, a small town girl next door type who lives on and runs Marshall Ranch in Montana. While working the summer cattle ranch retreat, she meets Hunter. He is a hometown boy who moved to Seattle, WA right after high school graduation. Hunter makes it big in the tech field, owning his own copy that creates video games. He as always had a crush on Katie. So when his coworker got engaged he knew the prefect place for a bachelor party and his chance to see Katie again. This is were the fun and flirty interactions begin. This book is really well paced and easy to get lost in romance novel. I like how the writer created a setting that is very romantic and beautiful. The story evolves around both characters back stories, which some are very surprising. The ending will warm your heart. I really enjoyed reading this book and cannot wait for the third book in this series. **I received a complimentary Advanced Readers Copy in exchange for my honest and unbiased review.**

Beauty and the Book Boyfriend by K.M. Galvin

cover111872-mediumBeauty and the Book Boyfriend by KM Galvin was released on March 28, 2017. I heard a lot about this book leading up to the release, both positive and negative. Hearing all about this book made me wonder and I had to find out for myself. The story is about Bell who is an author that is very self conscious and avoids the publicity all while not having any friends. She goes on book tour as the main character in her book along with the book boyfriend that her fans voted for. I found this book to be an ok read. I felt that the points of view kept changing so much that I could not keep up at times. The characters could use more back story to add more depth. While I understand that some readers really liked this book, I have to say I am not one of them. I am willing to read more works from this author. **I received a complimentary copy of this book in exchange for my honest and unbiased review.**

SYNOPSIS: When Bellamy Strong started writing, it wasn’t with the intention of becoming the next phenomenon. It was…to be blunt she had no friends. School is rough on the anti-social. It’s even harder publishing your books and the world decides it wants a piece of you. Now her series is ending and her publisher is demanding she show up for her fans. End her reclusive persona. A three month, worldwide book tour dressed as Makyla, the lead character in her book. As for Maxsen, the love interest, her fans pick model Caleb Pace to play the role during a casting contest. No big deal right? What happens when your fantasy comes to life and turns out better than you imagined?
