About the author: Former Bad Girl, grateful for the grace God offers. Happy wife of Bill, one of the Good Guys. Proud mom of two grown-up kids with tender hearts. Lame housekeeper. Marginal cook. Pitiful gardener. Stuff I love? Encouraging my sisters in Christ—across the page, from the platform, online, in person. Unpacking Scripture. Traveling wherever God leads. Listening to his heart. Leaning into his embrace.

My thoughts: 31 PROVERBS TO LIGHT YOUR PATH is a lovely devotional that has stories, insights lessons and scripture that will help to brighten your day. Higgs based this book around her 31 favorite verses from Proverbs. Higgs uses one Proverb for each chapter while sharing her own stories, provides an easy to understand translation and ends the chapter with a prayer while challenging you to imply this into your life. This book is a great read that you can share with your friends or family and would make a perfect gift. While reading this book I felt like I was talking to a friend who was sharing stories from the heart of her own wisdom. Again, I feel this would be a perfect gift for someone who needs some encouragement or words of wisdom. ** I received a complimentary copy from blogging for books in exchange for my honest and unbiased review. **
