Since We Fell by Dennis Lehane is one of the books from The Book of The Month May 2017 selections. I really love all the selections this month and it was too hard just to pick one. This monthly book subscription box will send you one hardcopy book from the five selected that month. You can pick the book you want or let them pick it for you. I usually like more then one book and add extra books in my box for $9.99 each additional book. This is a really fun book box for an amazingly low price of $14.99 a month (additional books $9.99 each).
Since We Fell by Dennis Lehane was published May 8, 2017. I really enjoyed reading about Rachel and all of her battles in life. The story starts out with Rachel battling her very controlling mother over information about her father. From there Rachel suffers from agoraphobia but finds security in the love of her life. Lehane puts everything (backstories and all) out there for the reader to devour and get lost in. You will find this to be a great read that you will not want to put down.
SYNOPSIS: Since We Fell follows Rachel Childs, a former journalist who, after an on-air mental breakdown, now lives as a virtual shut-in. In all other respects, however, she enjoys an ideal life with an ideal husband. Until a chance encounter on a rainy afternoon causes that ideal life to fray. As does Rachel’s marriage. As does Rachel herself. Sucked into a conspiracy thick with deception, violence, and possibly madness, Rachel must find the strength within herself to conquer unimaginable fears and mind-altering truths. By turns heart- breaking, suspenseful, romantic, and sophisticated, Since We Fell is a novel of profound psychological insight and tension. It is Dennis Lehane at his very best.
