My Favorite Essential Oils


There has been a lot of talk about essential oils so I thought I would tell you about a few that I really like.  Keep in mind that I am not in the medical field and just because some of these work for my family they may not work for yours.
Skin oils and lotions:  A gentle circular movement with your finger is all it takes for the oils to be absorbed into your skin. Sometimes I fix a few drops into my lotion and apply after showering.
  • Rose oil is good for dry mature skin and can even help with lines and wrinkles.
  • Lemon oil is good for acne and oily skin. {helps to unclog pores}
  • Coconut oil is good for antibacterial, healing and nourishing the skin.
Hair care: The hair can be enhanced by adding a few drops of essential oils into the final rinse or added to a mild shampoo.
  • Rosemary can enhance hair growth.
  • Tea tree helps with dandruff.
My favorite essential oil would be eucalyptus oil. This can be used to clear a stuffy nose, help with allergies, and coughs. We use eucalyptus oil in a diffuser almost all the time.
Peppermint oil is another favorite that we use to help ease the symptoms of sinus infections and chest congestion. This oil can also help your mental focus because it has a calming effect. Lemon grass and lemon eucalyptus oils are great ways to repel insects.
